Patoka Capital Completes Sale of Wild Eggs Restaurants

New ownership plans to leverage the successful concept for regional franchise growth.
(LOUISVILLE, KY) January 26, 2023 - Miami, FL-based investment group PG Growth Opportunities Fund I (“PGOF I”) has purchased the popular Wild Eggs breakfast and brunch chain of restaurants from Patoka Capital. The deal transfers ownership of the concept’s 15 locations as well as future franchising rights to the investor group.
PGOF I and a venture from the successful restaurant and business executives Andy Abbajay (CEO), Cliff Harris (CFO), and George Wooten (COO) formed to pursue opportunities in the food and beverage, restaurant, and retail space. The new owners plan to leverage the sustained growth and brand equity of Wild Eggs by adding new corporate-owned and franchised locations throughout Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. The team’s focus is on establishing a strong regional presence and core base of franchisees in preparation for a nationwide launch. The initial focus will be expanding in their current markets including Lexington, Cincinnati, and Indianapolis.

The deal, finalized on January 18, 2023, moves complete ownership to PG Growth Opportunities Fund I. The Wild Eggs corporate office will remain based in Louisville with its current leadership team. All field employees will remain intact in their current roles. The contemporary breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurant opened its first location in Louisville in 2007 and has since grown to 15 locations across three states. The restaurant has gained national attention for its innovative take on classic breakfast fare and high-quality customer service.
